We are going to explore the biological effects of pulsed-power-produced agents such as intense electric fields (more than 100 kV/m) and strong magnetic fields (more than 30 tesla), intense pulsed ultraviolet light, atmospheric pressure plasmas and underwater streamer plasmas, by means of biological analysis. In the last few years, we have found that the agents initiate unique biological processes such as DNA fragmentation induced by high power radio frequency electric fields, morphology change of water bloom due to the exposure to underwater plasmas etc. Our deep interests go to, for example, main receptors of the agents, biological processes, and controllability of the processes in addition to possibility of the deformation of bio molecules such as DNA and protein.
